Yes, the IPPI Card is recognized as proof of pilot level and compliance with local regulations.
Minimum Legal Coverage Required
National law requires pilots to hold Third Party Liability Insurance. The minimum coverage amount is determined according to the financial system approved by the General Assembly.
Recommended Additional Coverage
It is strongly recommended that pilots also have:
- Medical Insurance covering personal accidents.
- Search & Rescue coverage.
- Repatriation Insurance for foreign pilots.
Special Coverage for Guest Pilots
Yes, the Iraqi Air Sports Federation provides the option to purchase temporary insurance coverage for guest pilots who do not hold documents in compliance with national law.
