Paragliding Worlds 2025 have launched in Brazil

The 19th FAI World Paragliding Championships have launched in Castelo, Brazil. The event is organized Marcos Aurelio Pinheiro and Frank Brown.

The event has the support of:  FCVL (Capixaba Federation), ACVL (Capixaba Association), CBVL (Brazilian HG and PG Confederation), CAB NAC Brazil, Estate of Espirito Santo Federal government, City hall of Castelo, Firemen’s department and Police department of the city.

In total 129 pilots from 52 Nations came to compete in the event. The selection was made according to the Section 7 of the FAI sporting code. 12 nations could present full team: 1 women plus 3 men. And 12 more came to compete with 3 pilots in a team (3 men only of 1 women and 2 men).

At the openning ceremony after the fective parade the pilots were greeted by the organizer - Frank Brown, the meet director - Vinicius Matuk, FAI Steward - Goran Dimiskovski and local authorities. FAI Jury President - Igor Erzhen has opened the competition.
