The town of Murska Sobota, Slovenia will host 105 ballooning teams from 33 countries, who will compete in the 24th FAI World Hot Air Ballooning Championships between 16-23 September. There will also be 200 places per day for visitors to experience a hot air balloon flight, encouraging new participants to the sport.

The 21 st FAI European Hang Gliding Class 1 Championship launched in Sigillo, Italy on July 10, 2022. The event will go on till Jun 23, 2022 mostly
taking place in the flying area of Monte Cucco mountain in the Italian province of Umbria but depending on the weather can also engage the bordering
province of Marche. 93 pilots take part in the championship representing 14 European and 4 guest nations.
Killian Rousseau, representing France, has taken a gold medal in the drone racing at The World Games 2022 in Birmingham, Alabama, USA. The 17-year-old came first in all rounds of the competition - a clear winner in this challenging competition in which four pilots raced their FPVs around the obstacles in the Birmingham's Protective Stadium.
The drone racing at The World Games (TWG) is underway with a challenging course for the 31 pilots to navigate. The qualification rounds started on Saturday 9 July with two rounds successfully completed during the fine weather and a provisional ranking established. Rounds three and four suffered a setback when a storm and heavy rain meant that the qualification racing had to be postponed.
