39th World Gliding Championships is now underway at Tabor Airfield Czechia

The 39th World Gliding Championships is now underway at Tabor Airfield Czechia with 115 pilots competing in three classes. Several past World Gliding Champions are testing their skills against young champions including Stefan Langer and Matthew Scutter for the top accolades in gliding.

The championships are being held from 7 - 21 June. The first two days were no fly days, leaving ten possible flying days to decide the next World Gliding Champions in 15m, Standard and Club Classes.

FAI Sailplane Grand Prix - 12 pilots qualify for Series 12 Finals

Between May and July 2024, six qualifying FAI Sailplane Grand Prix events took place in Chile, Norway, Germany, Italy, Slovenia and France. Tasks were successfully completed in all six despite some difficult weather conditions. Congratulations to the 12 qualifying pilots who will shortly receive their invitations to compete in the 12th final at St Auban, France scheduled for 24-30 August 2025.
