The first flying day was hot and with little wind. The organisation held the mandatory briefings and started the first round already at 09.53. By 18.00 whole 3 rounds were completed so the championship is valid. The fourth round is just one re-flight away from being finished.
The 4th FAI Asian paragliding accuracy championship was opened on June 21st 2022. The competition has pilots from 9 Asian nations: Kazakhstan, South Korea, Mongolia, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Japan, Thailand, Uzbekistan, Iran, and guest pilots from Serbia and the Czech Republic plus a team that flies under the FAI flag (pilots from Kyrgyzstan - a non-FAI member country). FAI is represented by Jury President Zeljko Ovuka (SRB), Jury members Jun Zhang (CNH) and Tuul Choqsomjav (MNG), and FAI Steward Riikka Vilkuna.
On Friday 2 September 2022, 19 gas balloons, each with two pilots and supported by a crew on the ground, will rise into the air above the Swiss city of St. Gallen to compete in the FAI World Long Distance Gas Balloon Championship, otherwise known as the Coupe Aéronautique Gordon Bennett.
