The 2023 inductees into the FAI CIA International Balloon & Airship Hall of Fame have been announced as Dewey Reinhard of the United States of America and Phillip Dunnington of the United Kingdom. The Balloon Museum and FAI Ballooning Commission extend their congratulations to the honorees and their families on being brought into this exclusive cadre of distinguished aeronauts.
Sunday 2 April, at the headquarters of the Real Aeroclub de España in Cuatro Vientos, two of the most prestigious medals in sports aviation were awarded: the FAI Silver Medal and the Spanish Olympic Committee Medal. - 17 March 2019 - While everyone below was celebrating St. Patrick's Day, I was standing in 0.1 square meters of space at 4,700 m. It was a balmy 2 degrees Celsius on the surface, but it was so cold aloft that if I forgot to put my water bottle back into the heated cooler it immediately started forming ice crystals. The perseverance paid off in the end and I landed with three new world distance records from that flight.
