Over 145 participants were warmly welcomed to the 117th FAI General Conference, which took place in Dayton, Ohio, USA on 26 and 27 October 2023.

The return to an in-person conference was much appreciated by delegates after three consecutive online conferences that the FAI General Conference was held in person. Delegates from 45 Members and 12 Commissions were present or represented. They were welcomed by the hosts, USA’s National Aeronautic Association (NAA).  

Greg Principato serves as the President and CEO of the National Aeronautic Association (NAA), which is the FAI Member in the United States. NAA will host the 117th FAI General Conference in Dayton, Ohio, scheduled to take place on 26 and 27 October 2023. We asked him five key questions:

Why is it important for representatives and officials to attend this General Conference?

The collaboration between the FAI and its Global Technical Partner Noosphere continues to progress at a steady pace.

The FAI General Air Sport Commission (CASI) has made an extensive revision of the FAI General Section of the Sporting Code as well as  creating a new Disciplinary Code. These two documents took effect on 1 January 2023.
