On the morning of October 17, a press conference for the 16th FAI Style and Accuracy World Cup 2025 and the 1st Style and Accuracy Asian Championships was held in the press conference hall of the Provincial Government Information Office.
The press conference was presided over by Xu Cheng, Director of the External News Department of the Provincial Party Committee Propaganda Department, and Jin Ziwei, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Provincial Sports Bureau, announced and introduced relevant information. Zhou Mi, Deputy Mayor of Ji'an Municipal People's Government, Ou Junwu, Head Coach of the Chinese National Skydiving Team, and Li Quansheng, Director of the Ji'an Municipal Education and Sports Bureau, attended the press conference and answered questions from reporters.
The 16th Style and Accuracy World Cup is one of the highest-profile and most competitive events in international aviation sports. Held every two years, it brings together the world's top skydivers. This is the first time this event has been held in Jiangxi, marking another exciting appearance for Jiangxi on the international sports stage and opening a new chapter for the development of aviation sports in our province.
This event is hosted by the International Air Sports Federation (FAI) and co-organized by the Air Traffic Control Center of the General Administration of Sport of China, the Chinese Air Sports Association, the Jiangxi Provincial Sports Bureau, the Ji'an Municipal People's Government, and the Jiangxi Flight Academy.
The seven-day event will be held at the Ji'an Tongping General Airport from October 25 to 31, 2025. To date, approximately 120 athletes from 12 countries and regions have registered to participate, including several world-ranked teams (Qatar, Germany, China, and Austria), as well as representatives from countries and regions along the Belt and Road Initiative.
The competition features two major events: Freefall Style and Accuracy Landing, with a total of 16 sub-events, including men's and women's team Accuracy, men's and women's individual Accuracy, men's and women's individual Freefall Style, men's and women's national team events, men's and women's individual all-around, youth men's and women's individual Accuracy, youth men's and women's individual Freefall Style, and youth men's and women's individual all-around.
In accordance with the General Administration of Control's Air Traffic Control Center's organizing requirements, this year's Style and Accuracy World Cup and the first Style and Accuracy Asian Championships will be combined into one, with separate admissions and no change in schedule.
At the press conference, Jin Ziwei mentioned the three highlights of this year's Style and Accuracy World Cup.
The first is high-quality support. As one of the core events accredited by the International Aeronautical Federation (FAI), the Style and Accuracy World Cup is being held in Jiangxi for the first time. Ji'an, with its favorable airspace, comprehensive support, and extensive experience in organizing events, will be the host city. The Style and Accuracy World Cup will be built according to international standards, adhering to the principles of "safety, professionalism, excitement, and openness" to ensure a safe, orderly, professional, and efficient event.
The second is high-quality integration. Leveraging Jiangxi's advantage as a pilot province for low-altitude airspace management reform, we will promote the deep integration of skydiving with the general aviation industry and tourism culture, injecting sports momentum into our province's efforts to build a "strong aviation province. "By implementing the "sports-to-health, sports-to-tourism, and sports-to-culture" strategy, combined with "sports + culture and tourism" events like carnivals, we will promote the transformation of the competition from a "professional competition" to a "national festival," inspiring young people's passion for aviation technology and sports, and promoting the popularization and development of skydiving.
Third, high-level openness. This year's competition has specially invited teams from Belt and Road Initiative participating countries such as Mongolia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar. Using sports as a link to expand international cooperation, we will promote sports as a bridge for cross-cultural exchange, broaden the breadth and depth of Jiangxi's international cooperation, strengthen the role of sports as a liaison in diplomacy, culture, and trade, and showcase China's image and Jiangxi's charm to the world.
