5th Competition day – Style

On Wednesday 29th October before noon it was possible to jump Freefall Style. The 3rd round of male and 4th round of female Style could be completed. Then the predicted clouds and later in the afternoon rain arrived, so the Meet Director ended the day and sent the buses back to the hotel. There would be only 3 loads with the semi-final competitors to finish the whole program, but the weather forecast does not look too good. 

The final decision will be made in the morning at 8am, then the judges and competitors will either leave for the dropzone, or the game is over. All result lists are already online with the current standings at: https://results.worldskydiving.org/FrontEnd/CompetitionCollection/1084.

The 16th World Cup has Germany as the current leader of the Nations Overall (Team Overall) which is calculated from the best four places of the team members in Individual Overall (27 points). 
China 1 is just two points behind on 2nd place will for sure hope for more jumps tomorrow because the ranking in Freefall Style quickly can change with just hundredths of seconds difference between the top athletes. Austria is on third place of the Team Overall, China 2 4thfollowed by Spain, UAE and Qatar.

In the individual overall Yu Ruilong from China is inlead of the World Cup with the ideal score of 1+1 which means he is the winner of Accuracy and current leader in Style competition. In Style he finished the three rounds with an average of 5,71 sec and with two more such fast jumps he could break his own FAI World record 0f 28,19 sec from the last World Cup in 2023. 

Chinese ladies dominated the Style event and Wang Yuting, who is still a junior broke the FAI junior performance World record with 6,28 sec. All female medal places in Style and Individual Overall are currently occupied by Chinese athletes. It can be expected that the Chinese anthem will be well known by everyone after the award ceremony that will take place on Friday afternoon, followed by a banquet in Chinese style with turning tables.  

On the official ISC result page all videos can be watched in normal speed and slow motion in the same way as the judges make their assessments and then the scores are displayed inside the video.
