Photos and report by Gernot Rittenschober
4th Competition day – Style Two rounds male, 3 rounds female
On Tuesday 28th October the cloud base was high enough for Freefall Style so after the remaining Accuracy tie-breaks in Junior Classifications first and second round of Style was jumped. Then the Meet Director had to wait for the results to determine which athletes did not reach the limit of 17 seconds total (male) and 20 seconds (female)
Only the remaining 10 female jumped round 3 and 16 male competitors will do the same tomorrow morning.
The tie in Female Junior Accuracy was broken when Cui Qi scored 1 cm. Zoe Stoll from Germany did a dead center already and so she is the Winner of the World Cup in Female Junior Individual Accuracy with 16 cm out of 10 jumps.
The World Cup in Male Junior Individual Accuracy needed two tie break jumps to decide 2nd and 3rd place. The winner was already cleared with Michael Urban from Austria as World Cup Winner on the evening before. Elias Kammer and Wei Gaoqi both scored 1 cm in the first tie break round and then Wei Gaoqi secured the 2nd place with 1 cm again but Elias 2 cm.
With these last ties finally broken, the Accuracy competition of the 16th FAI World Cup and 1st FAI Asian Championships was complete. Several continental FAI records for Asia, Oceania and Europe were broken and will be claimed by the Jury.
