3rd Competition day – Accuracy Landing almost completed

On Monday 27th October the weather over Tong Ping airport again had a cloud base too low for Freefall Style. Although it was tried and the cameras were ready, the jump plane had to return because the 2200 m exit altitude could not be reached.
Then it was tried to start Accuracy but the wind reached the 7m/s limit several times so it was decided to wait. Competitors socialized, group pictures were taken and the spirit on the dropzone was still high.

After lunch the wind speed dropped and the Semifinal and Final rounds of Individual Accuracy could be finished besides a few tie break jumps.

Liao Yuting from China is the Winner of the 16th World Cup in Female Individual Accuracy Landing with 9 cm out of 10 jumps. 2nd and 3rd place goes as well to Chinese team members with 12 and 13 cm.

For the Junior Female a thrilling tie break with Zoe Stoll from Germany and Cui Qi from China on first place is still not finished due to a missing technical re-jump for Qi that could not be completed before sunset. Zoe scored a dead center so she relaxed can wait for tomorrow. But in case Qi would score a dead center as well, they have to go into another tie break.

In the male individual final round the fight for the podium places for the World Cup was also very close. Yu Ruilong from China scoring a total of 6 cm is the Winner of the World Cup. On 2nd place another Chinese team member Zhang Kaiyuan with 7cm and 3rd Magnus Falk from Sweden with 8 cm.

The Junior Male World Cup Winner is Michael Urban from Austria with 14 cm out of 10 rounds. The fight for 2nd place is still open because Wei Gaoqi from China and Elias Kammer from Germany are tied with 16 cm and they have to jump tomorrow until the tie is broken.

In the Asian Championships all podium positions were taken by Chinese participants with the exception of 3rd place in Male Individual Accuracy for Mohamed Alsuwaidi from UAE with 12 cm.
