2nd Competition day – Full Accuracy Landing (AL) day

On Sunday 26th October the weather over Tong Ping airport had a cloud base at +/- 1000m and low winds, so from 08:00 till 17:20 teams were constantly dropped above the target.

The dropzone facilities with two lunch tents (one for Halal and the other for Western food) have a very high standard and are part of the temporary infrastructure that was built up for this World Cup and Asian Championships. Also the team tents with view to the target andthe packing area have been set up in very close walking distance and less than 100m from the manifest and loading area. 
The Tong Ping dropzone is surely capable of hosting even bigger FAI First Category Events.

During lunchtime and in the afternoon the Meet Director slowed down by using only one airplane but towards the end of the day again used two P-750 again to complete 5 full rounds for today. 
With 8 rounds completed, the Team Accuracy competition could be finished and the first World Cup Winners and Asian Champions could be declared. 
In the 16th World Cup Male Team AL competition it was a thrillingmatch. With 7 Teams just a few cm apart and the chance to reach the podium, the leaderboard changed in every round. Even in the last round we could see a change of the Top 3 positions with: 
China 1 (32cm) as Winner of the 16th World Cup, followed by 2ndGermany (38cm) and 3rd UAE (40). Austria with a total of 41cm was on 3rd place after 7 rounds but with 5cm in the last round lost Bronze medal against UAE who scored 3cm.  Official ISC results at;  https://results.worldskydiving.org/competitionset/1084
In the female World Cup China 1 F scored only 33cm which would have been 2nd place in the male list. 
Summary: China is the male and female Winner of 16th World Cup and by that of course also 1st Asian Champion in Team Accuracy landing. 
The plan for Monday 27th Oct is to start at 08:30 with Freefall Style if the cloud base is high enough. If there would again be weather that allows only Accuracy Landing, also all individual winner titles will be disputed after a semi-final (30 male, 15 female) and a final round (with 15 male & 8 female).
